KCU BCA – 18 Locations On-Grid Solar Power Project
Completed in 2024, the KCU BCA On-Grid Solar Power Project represents one of Indonesia’s largest multi-location commercial rooftop solar deployments in the banking sector. The project covers 18 BCA Main Branch Offices across Indonesia, supporting Bank Central Asia’s commitment to sustainability, renewable energy adoption, and long-term operational efficiency.
The rooftop solar power installation was implemented across multiple strategic cities including Medan, Lampung, Pekanbaru, Makassar, Bogor, Bandung, Cirebon, and other major BCA branch locations throughout Indonesia. By utilizing clean solar energy, each branch is able to reduce dependence on conventional electricity while improving overall building energy efficiency.
Designed as a large-scale multi-site EPC project, the installation delivers reliable on-grid solar generation that supports daily banking operations. The project demonstrates how financial institutions can actively contribute to Indonesia’s renewable energy transition while lowering operational costs and reducing carbon emissions.
The successful implementation across numerous branch offices highlights the scalability of rooftop solar photovoltaic technology for commercial buildings. It also reinforces the growing adoption of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives within Indonesia’s banking industry.
